Purple Jewellery – for royalty, extravagance and romance.
Purple is frequently seen as the colour of royalty. It naturally conveys wealth and extravagance and signifies great wisdom and dignity. It is an excellent compromise between the high energy of red and the balance of blue. Light purple is seen as romantic and feminine. It is also recognised as the most popular colour of young children. Purple relates to our spirituality and fires our imaginations. Consequently purple jewellery is an excellent choice for people who like to practice meditation.
Amethyst is by far my most popular choice for those who like to wear purple. It usually displays a subtle variation in colour intensity. Less common purple variations of many of the other semi precious gemstones also exist with purple jade, agate, jasper, fluorite and garnet all occasionally available. Swarovski have recently introduced an ‘iridescent purple’ that is simply ouzes decadence and is proving extremely popular.
